Seed pearl necklace on hand-knotted golden silk and finished with a hand made 14k yellow gold clasp.
16-1/2" long.
Pearls have been strung on silk for generations, preventing the pearls from rubbing together, and in case the strand breaks you will not loose all the pearls.
The drape of a pearl strand on hand knotted silk is different than a strand simply strung.

Silk will stretch over time and depending on wear, may require restringing over time.
